Outing, outing and more outings!!!

First, it was a birthday SURPRISE for my dearest girlfriend J. We (referring to my gfs and I) actually named this event as the BIRD DAY SUPPLIES for the C**** GAL' keke..

The intended surprise didn't turn out as planned. :( That is because....our birthday girl was just so 'stubborn', she didnt want to enter her room when she was home. =x I shall backtrack and tell you how the surprise was supposed be so that you have a clearer understanding of what is going on.

We had planned this surprise 2 weeks before Gf J's birthday where I will bake a cake for her (she had not tasted my cake and had been wanting to try) and surprise her at her house. So on the day of her birthday, she was out with her Bf J and Bf J was our GPS as well as our CCTV basically our tracker. hehe Thanks Bf J for your help :) We also aliased with Gf J's Mom (awesome Mom who ganged up with us ^^ ) and went to her house before she was back. We hid in her room, decorated and prepared, waiting eagerly for her to come home and open her room door so we could jump out and shout HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! but......we waited and waited...FINALLY she got home, however, she didnt enter her room. Instead she linger in the living room -.- Bf J whatsapp us asking where we were and we said in her room...both Bf J and her Mom tried to get her to enter her room..but to no avail she was tricked into getting into her room :( oh boy we were perspiring like crazy and the poor little Chocolate mousse cake was perspiring profusely as well. lol...in the end we had no choice but to open the door and show ourself :( oh what a surprise.... but all in all it was a wonderful celebration with everyone laughing about how Gf J insisted on not entering her room etc.

Time for a Surprise!!!
Look who is trying to act Madonna -.-
Caught in the Act..hanky panky with Daddy....*shakes head*
 Cutie Gf C :P

That's the end of the SURPRISE event...only took pictures while waiting for Gf J to be back..thereafter we were to engross in catching up...hehe my bad for the few pictures taken..opps i realised i did not even have a picture of the birthday girl...lol

Next outing was with my one and only Malay friend (If I am going out with her and my Mom asked, i will always say: Oh I will be out with my Malay friend' lol). Oh one fact of the day: I only drink Bandung (a type of drink that is made from rose syrup and milk) made by her Mother.

anw we headed to Haig Road ( I requested for it since she took a day off just so we could hang out, why not head to the 'Malay town' which I do not recall myself stepping foot on) We just bump around, had lunch, went shopping at Bugis there after and hanged out all the way till night. Did I forget to tell you that we were friends since Secondary School? She sat next to me  in class and we stayed in the same estate as well, making us old friends and old neighbours =x

Photo time!!!

Lunch at Haig Road...Muslim Indian Rojak..

 Dinner at Pastamania!

Muahahaha Guess who got stuck at the stairway...hehe (NB: the door can only be open from the outside. keke)
Thank you my friend of many years and for many more years to come for taking a day off to accompany me ^^V

Moving on, it is SPORT'S DAY!!! Big O invited me and Mom to his Kids Haven Sports Day (Kids Haven is an after school care group at his Primary School)

The weather was not forgiving at all. It was scotching hot at one moment, dark and gloomy the next moment. The weather was really humid. However, children being children, they were having fun rain or shine. Only adults like me PMSes like nobody business over little things such as the weather :(

It is always nice to be able to attend such event. I used to always miss the children's performance due to work which was quite regretful as those were once in a lifetime moments that you can never go back. yes NEVER. TT hmmm I guess if finances allow, I will be a full time Mom. ahem* keke.. just saying... =x

When I was there, I am able to see how innocent kids are and how all of us grow to become a different person. It just amazes me on how things work on Earth. I was sitting on a bench and kids will just stand right in front of me and started talking innocently about their team's scores or what they did etc...my heart just go 'awwwww such cute little angels' lol i felt old all of a sudden. =x

Getting into their teams

 Smile :)
MD O and BB O were trying to be funny -.-
 with Big O
 with BB O
Getting ready for his race :)

There is no photo with MD O, as usual she and her 'eccentric' attitude...lol she doesn't wanna take a picture with me :(

Next outing is a weekend with the KIDS!!!! We went to Jurong Point for Swensen Ice Cream followed by Madagascar 3 (humming: 'da da dada da da da CIRCUS da da dada da da da AFRO CIRCUS AFRO CIRCUS AFRO POLKADOT POLKADOT POLKADOT AFRO!') and then McDonald's!

next update will be the JB trip I just went last weekend..i didnt take any photos but gotta get the pics from a friend and hoping they are fine with me uploading onto my blog ;)

Pam

Meet-ups!!!!

my schedule is packed with meet ups week after week (hmm ok i exaggerated slightly). i am definitely not complaining about it and will be more gladly to add on more meet ups. if only such carefree life can just go on forever. I know dream on you would say. lol..

I am really blessed to have so many wonderful friends who takes initiative to contact me and find time out of their busy work schedule to meet up with me :) blessed blessed blessed :D

and....the most prominent thing to do during meet ups will be.....having yummy MEALS together!!! Eating and searching for good food is what a typical Singaporean will do. keke..

Meet-up #1
Met up with Miss Goh and Miss Mok my dearest ex DT mates :) we had something which i have been craving for.... 'peng/hang her' (bbq fish)!!! all these dishes that you are about to see are highly recommended by me :D provided you have the same taste buds as i do when it comes to food :) i cant remember how much the total bill was as my dearest friends paid for it =x but if i ma not wrong it was approx. SGD35 in total (3 pax). The coffeeshop is always packed with people according to Miss Goh. i had been there twice and on both occasions, just like she said, it was packed!

please do not salivate when you see the photos of the food that we had..keke..the chilli sauce is just spicily delicious and the fish is yummily fresh! awesome!

We ordered bbq stingray which i love!!! the stingray is being barbeque on top of a banana leaf with a generous portion of chilli sauce ( aka 'sambal') being drizzled over. Nom Nom Nom!!!

wooo!!! introducing grilled crayfish! SLURPS! just by the look of it, you know it's good. i don't have to describe it in details do i?
Last dish it 'sambal' squid! very spicy but very good! generous portion of juicy squid being stir fry with onions and sambal. recommended to order.

Sadly, I did not note down the name of the store as well as the exact address of the coffeeshop but i know it's located at Jurong West Street 51, opposite Rulang Primary School. The stall is located in the middle of the coffeeshop. If you are a Singaporean, it will be obvious to you which stall i am referring to. As for those overseas and are coming over to SG for holiday or studies or whatever reason, i strongly recommend that you  travel around places like these instead of just roaming around central area for food.

Meet-up #2
the G4 meeting!!! :) met up with my darlings who was with me since JC (that's like 8 years of friendship and counting) another thing i miss most when i was in London: STEAMBOAT BUFFET!!! i think Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao is one of the best place to have steamboat. On weekdays for the 2nd session (1930h - 2130h) it cost approx. SGD27 (incl. tax n svc) free flow of slice pork, beef, mushrooms, dumplings, etc and and and not forgetting baskets and naskets of Xiao Long Bao!!! yummmeh!!!

I am sure every Singaporeans know about this place but for the benefit of those who don't, here is the address to the one i went: 241 Holland Avenue. Tel:6463 0968. However, the phone is usually engaged and most of the time they are fully booked. So make sure you make reservation in advance so as to not be disappointed. They have many other branches as well, you can google search them :)

Meet-up #5
Met up with ex Dt colleagues for dinner at Sushi Tei followed by games at Minds Cafe. nice gathering after so long :) and a good news received: Jono is attached! :)

Meet-up #4
the 'Malay Friend' meet up. haha well i m NOT racist! the story goes like this. there was once, i was going out to meet a friend and mom asked me who i m meeting, i said 'oh my malay friend' and since then, she is being nicknamed as my Malay Friend. also, she is the only Malay friend whom i meet up with so very often therefore there will not be any confusion as to which malay friend i am meeting.

anw Malay friend and i had been friends since Secondary School so it's about 11 years of friendship already! we had brunch together at McDonald's (fyi, i m her Mc buddy) we chatted for more than 3 hours, topic ranges from politics to everyday life to kids being pampered etc. and we joked around with our usual lame and some times racist jokes (we do not really mean it but just saying it for fun). every meet up with her i learn a little something about the malay culture as i will ask questions which you might think it's silly such as is there such thing as a 'halal' fish??? wahahaa

Meet-up #5
Tennis session with Superman! it has been 2 years since i met up with him i think. but it's all not awkward. atmosphere is still as comfortable as before. he used to be very beefed up, 6 packs, super tan and all but now not as beefed up which i think looks much better =x his body was filled with both external and internal injuries from a rugby match just before meeting me and yet he still insisted that he was able to play tennis with me. Hence, you know why he is called Superman.

ok ending off with the meet ups for now. will con't with them for the next week and hopefully more photos to show. as i sadly announced that i currently do not have a camera of my own. :( anw sponsors?!!! lol j.k

oh and i am still waiting for Samsung Galaxy S2 to arrive. had been asking for a week and there is sitll no stock available :(

Hope it will be here before CNY. i cant wait to get my hands on it.

i shall end off now. Take care till then :)
