yay yay yay! i have gotten my open water diving license!!! it was kinda scary at first. but after a few (2) dives (we did a total of 4 dives), everything seems more relax and my so-called 'panic attack' that i had for the first dive was gone. let me explain about the so-called 'panic attack' that my Uncle and Sis said i had when i was about to jump off the boat and into the water. It started off with the pool training where i had problem swimming with the flippers (sadly, i just cant seemed to swim as fast as others). Hence, for our 1st dive when i was told that i have to jump from the side of the boat and swim to the back, i freaked out and kept repeating 'i can't swim! i can't swim!' and i didnt wanna jump off the boat. wahahaha hence, they reckon that i had a 'panic attack'
anw there were lots of pretty things (fishes, corals, wiggly dancing slugs, sea urchins, eels, etc). the seabed is like an underwater garden in my opinion, pretty landscape :)
some pictures during the trip. i do not have a camera, let alone an underwater camera. Hence, all pictures are taken using my handy Samsung Galaxy II :) enjoy! ;)
On our way to Mersing ferry Terminal...my usual 'Car gang'
Collecting our ferry tickets :)
oh no, it's called the Boarding Pass. keke
here comes the ferry :) Tioman 我们来了(Here we come)!
Look who's frolicking in the ferry
after almost 2 hours, we finally arrived!
the resort that we will be staying. we stayed at superior beach front. accommodation is good. however, food isn't that great BUT acceptable.
there is no safebox in the room. but.....these are the lockers beside the reception for each room. hmmm interesting!
we dived the entire day and the beautiful sunset beckons to us
trying out the paranoma function
someone is working on the camera :)
the next day we did a dive in the morning and had lunch at a restaurant nearby while waiting for the ferry
other than those, the 'car gang' also bought RAMLY BURGER! nom nom...yummy sauce is hidden between the chicken patty and egg and the buns. SLURPS!
the ferry is here :( time to say goodbye
as the ride back to SG from Mersing takes about 3-4 hours ride, we stopped by at Sentosa for the famous Bak Kut Teh (it's soup with pork ribs)!
That's the end of our Tioman trip which all of us returned with an Open water diving license.
To continue with the week after I am back, i was busy preparing orders for birthdays over the weekend as well as an Easter order for my Dad to bring to his Easter Potluck Gathering.
HAPPY EASTER!
xoxo,
Pam
